Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP)

The Water Resources Management Plan outlines and prioritizes the City’s water resources policy initiatives, identifies lists of actions in support of each initiative, as well as the responsible parties, and provides a schedule for implementation.  The Plan is updated every five years and the City has received a grant from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to assist with completing this most important update.

The Plan policies and recommendations are laid out into seven broad categories:

    Water Conservation

    Education and Outreach

    Water Reuse

    Water Supply and Infrastructure

    Source Water Protection

    Economic Development

    Enforcement

The Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) is used as the program and planning guide for water conservation and water resources. It is also used for short and long term water/wastewater and infrastructure planning.

The State Water Trust Board considers funding to projects if the projects are conductive to supporting implementation of the 2014 WRMP. The City can additionally seek federal funding sources that require a water conservation plan.
