The City of Rio Rancho is participating in The National Citizen Survey, a survey tool measuring eight aspects of community livability. A random sample of Rio Rancho households will be surveyed during Summer 2019 and asked to provide feedback on the quality and usefulness of City services.
The National Citizen Survey is sponsored by the International City/County Management Association in cooperation with the National Research Center, Inc. (NRC). The questionnaire and survey procedure are designed based on the experience of hundreds of local governments, ranging in size from small to large.
Scientific sampling and weighting of the responses in each city ensure accurate and reliable results. Over the past 20 years, the National Research Center has conducted more than 1,000 surveys of residents for local governments.
The City of Rio Rancho conducted similar surveys in 2008, 2015, and 2017 to identify community strengths and weaknesses, establish benchmarks for tracking the quality of services provided to residents, and gain useful information for immediate and long-term planning.
