Access the following resources for assistance with research & homework related matters:
New York Times is a daily newspaper accessible both online and in print, to access the online articles please follow the below steps:
- Go to the Gale Databases (courtesy of the NM State Library) link on the Research databases webpage.
- Log in with your library card number and last name
- Navigate to Gale General One File (third row, center)
- Click "Go to Publication Search" (right side of page)
- Enter "New York Times" in the search bar, select "New York Times" from the list
- Select the date for the newspaper you would like to read

NewsBank is an online, searchable database providing access to three New Mexico newspapers. Each paper provides unique coverage of local and regional news, including companies, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and people in the community. Paid ads are excluded.
The papers currently included are:
- Albuquerque Journal: January 1, 1995 to present
- Las Cruces Sun-News: February 14, 2004 to present
- Roswell Daily Record: January 2, 2002 to present

Seed Library
The Seed Library is a collection of fruit, vegetable and flower seeds that you can borrow to plant at home. The Seed Library is also a place for you to return/exchange seeds you have harvested for others to borrow and plant. Seed libraries are available in the lobbies at both Rio Rancho libraries. Please only take what you will use.
The seed collection is dependent on donations and availability. Different seeds will be available at different times during the year, check back often to see what is available. For more information on growing in Sandoval County please visit the Sandoval County Master Gardener website here.
Garden Tool Kits
Garden tool kits are a kit containing one rounded cultivator, one square cultivator, one transplanter, one trowel, and one gardening tips binder. Kits are available to check out for 3 weeks, can be placed on hold and renewed if there is not waiting list.
