Many volunteers are active in supporting emergency responses nationwide.Here in New Mexico we have an active New Mexico Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (NMVOAD) which comprises some 25 separate organizations.The NMVOAD meets monthly in Albuquerque.
Here in Rio Rancho we have several active volunteer organizations that directly support our emergency preparedness and response:
Rio Rancho Community Emergency Response Team: 513 trained people as of May 2012.Training classes are scheduled at least four times a year.
