Mission Statement

Our mission is to achieve excellent procurement services through outstanding customer service, integral ethical behavior and effectiveness of tax dollars while maintaining adequate support of the City’s needs for materials and services. This mission shall be met through technological advancements, improved procedures and education for our user departments.

The Purchasing Department

The Central Purchasing Department is the central buying agency for the City of Rio Rancho, and is responsible for the procurement of goods and services in accordance with the City Procurement Code.

Routine Hours of Operation

8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. MST
Monday through Friday, except holidays

Telemarketing Solicitations

Telemarketing solicitations, aggressive marketing strategies, and backdoor sales are not acceptable to Central Purchasing. Solicitors using these tactics are debarred from doing future business with the City and will be submitted to the Better Business Bureau and State of New Mexico Attorney General for investigation.
