The Lema Road Reconstruction project is one of the voter-approved 2024 G.O. Bond projects.
Full depth roadway reconstruction on Lema Road from Western Hills Drive to Chessman Drive with new ADA compliant ramps, new striping and new traffic signage, replacement of the existing 10'' waterline including new water service lines, new fire hydrants and new water valves.
Status Log:
February 2026: ADA curb ramp work
January 2026: Subgrade preparation and base course for Phase 3 are complete. Paving for Phase 3 will take place simultaneously with Phase 4, which began on January 28,2026.
December 2025: Phase 1 & 2 of paving and roadwork are complete.
November 2025: The water line installation from Mesa Rd. to Chessman Dr. is complete. Utility crossings will be finished the week of December 15th, concluding the water utility work.
October 2025: Water line installation from Western Hills to Mesa Road is complete. Water line connections to Lincoln Middle School are scheduled for October 30, 2025, in the evening.
September 2025: Installation of a new water line along Lema Rd from Western Hills to Mesa Rd as part of the project's first phase
August 2025: Construction begins on September 15, 2025.
July 2025: Governing Body meeting for Advice & Consent
June 2025: Bid opening with five bidders and TLC Co. Inc. is the apparent low bidder
April 2025: Completing final design
March 2025: Complete 90% design and conduct review meeting
February 2025: Complete 60% design and conduct review meeting
November 2024: Project kick-off meeting
Phase 1 of roadwork construction (Rosswood Dr. to Lynwood Dr.) will begin on December 22,2025.
