Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. During the almost yearlong project, will parts of Broadmoor be continuously closed? There will be times during the project lane closures where it will be necessary for detours during construction; expect delays.
  2. Are there any cross streets that will be closed for the whole project? No, but the intersection of Nicklaus Dr and Broadmoor Blvd will be temporarily closed for approximately one week during the later stages of the project. During this closure, detour signs will be clearly posted to guide motorists through alternative routes, minimizing disruption to traffic. The exact dates for this closure will be provided on this webpage as the expected date approaches.
  3. What alternative routes will people be able to take? Alternative routes during the project include Unser Blvd and Rockaway Blvd. Broadmoor Blvd will remain open for travel throughout the project, though.
  4. Will this affect students bus routes? Traffic flow maps have been provided to Rio Rancho Public Schools to assist in planning for any potential disruptions. Some schools will adjust their bus routes to accommodate the changes in traffic patterns. Affected schools have already communicated these updates to parents and students, ensuring they are informed of any route changes and can plan accordingly.
