A list of available program offerings for fall, 2020 through the Parks, Recreation and Community Services department is below. To register for these programs call (505) 891-5015 or visit our online Active Net registration site.  

  • Beginner Archery (Session 3 has been canceled) 
  • Explore Archery Club (Canceled) 
  • Home School Archery (Session 3 has been canceled) 
  • Home School PE
  • Kidszone 
  • Kourt Kids
  • Micro Gymnastics (Session 2 has been canceled. Session 3 and 4 have been postponed)
  • Online Tutoring 

Facility, Park and Playground Closures  


The City of Rio Rancho is taking preventive measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Until further notice, the following facilities and parks through the Parks, Recreation and Community Services department are closed to the public. 

  • A Park Above, 2441 A Park Above Court
  • All playgrounds at parks throughout Rio Rancho
  • All ballfields including; Sports Complex North and High Resort Sports Complex 
  • Cabezon Community Center and Park, 2307 Cabezon Boulevard 
  • Haynes Community Center, 2006 Grande Boulevard (Playground, tennis courts, skate park, and public restrooms are closed to the public) 
  • Loma Colorado Park, 735 Loma Colorado Drive NE
  • Meadowlark Senior Center, 4330 Meadowlark Ln. SE
  • Public restrooms at parks throughout Rio Rancho 
  • Rainbow Skate Park, 301 Southern Blvd. SE 
  • Rio Rancho Aquatic Center, 745 Loma Colorado Dr. NE 
  • Rio Rancho Sports Complex, 3501 High Resort Blvd. SE (Baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, public restrooms, and the playground are closed to the public)
  • Star Heights Recreation Center, 800 Polaris Boulevard (Playground and public restrooms are closed to the public) 
  • Sabana Grande Recreation Center, 4110 Sabana Grande Avenue
  • Sports Complex North, 3616 Chayote Rd. NE (Baseball fields are closed to the public)
